The new Child Tax Credit and other benefits are bigger than ever.
More people than ever before qualify for significant new tax benefits this year through the American Rescue Plan. You may qualify for an income boost of up to $6,700 if you are raising children in your home. This money is not a loan. People ages 19-24 and 65 and older who work are newly eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit even if they don’t have kids or don’t usually file taxes.
A child born or added to your family, such as adoption, in 2021 could qualify for the full amount of the 2021 Child Tax Credit. Visit ChildTaxCredit.gov
File your taxes by April 18, 2022, to claim your credit. If you already received part of your Child Tax Credit, you will receive the rest of your credit after you file your taxes. Don’t miss out! Visit GetYourRefund.org to find out more about how to get this tax credit.
