Baby’s 2-month checkup is here!
Visit the doctor for your baby’s well-child exam, which may include a physical exam, shots, and other age-based screenings. These checkups can be used for enrollment in daycare centers, schools, or Head Start.
What to Expect
Immunizations
Check with your baby’s doctor to see what vaccines are needed. During the two-month checkup, your baby will receive more than one vaccine to protect their health. Your doctor may offer combination vaccines so there’s less pricking and hopefully less crying.
If you don’t have a doctor or clinic, did you know your baby can get free vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program?

Screenings
Your baby’s doctor will ask you how you are feeling. If you are having postpartum issues with breastfeeding, anxiety, sadness, or anything else, please feel free to discuss it with your baby’s doctor.
Development
Your baby’s doctor will perform a physical exam, measure and weigh your baby to make sure their growth is on track, and observe their development and behavior.
You may have many questions you’d like to ask your doctor about your baby’s development.
