Visit the doctor for your toddler’s well-child exam which may include a physical exam, shots, and other screenings based on age. These checkups can be used for enrollment in daycare centers, schools, or Head Start.
Check with your child’s doctor to see what vaccines are needed. Your child may receive more than one vaccine at the 12-month checkup to protect their health from chickenpox and measles.
Tip: Did you know RSV season falls in October to March? Ask your doctor if your baby needs the RSV vaccine.

The doctor will check your child for anemia at this visit. Based on your child’s risk, they may also test blood lead level, hearing, vision, and blood pressure. If your child may have been exposed to tuberculosis, they can do a skin test.
Your doctor will perform a physical exam, measure and weigh your baby to make sure their growth is on track, and observe their development and behavior.
