Visit the doctor for your baby’s well-child exam, which may include a physical exam, shots, and other age-based screenings. These checkups can be used for daycare centers, schools, or Head Start enrollment.
Check with your baby’s doctor to see what vaccines are needed. At the 6-month visit, your baby may receive the third doses of their vaccines. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and the CDC also recommend the flu and COVID shots for children 6 months of age and older as soon as it becomes available.
TIP: Did you know RSV season falls in October to March? Ask your doctor about the RSV vaccine for your baby.
