The 8th Street WIC office is located on 8th St between S Lake St and S Alvarado St. WIC services are available at this location in English and Spanish. Services are available in other languages by phone or video.
WIC provides free food, tips for healthy eating, family resources, and breastfeeding support at no cost. Food benefits are loaded each month on an electronic debit card that you can use to shop at grocery stores that accept WIC.
If you are pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 6 months, or care for a child under 5 years old you may qualify for WIC benefits. Foster parents, dads, and caretakers are encouraged to apply for their children. WIC is for low to medium income families. If you receive Medi-Cal, CalFresh, or food stamps, you meet the WIC income guidelines.
Call or text to schedule an appointment at your nearest WIC office! We are not accepting walk-in appointments at this time. Sign up or renew your WIC benefits in-person at a WIC office, on a video call with a WIC counselor, or by phone.
